Wedding Shower Games
There is no question about it- wedding shower games can make or break the event. It is traditional to play various games but you need to be well organized for it to work. You want all guests to take part in the fun and you want the games to have simple instructions. Make sure you have pens, paper, clipboards, and some great prizes for the winners. Here are some winning games you can incorporate into your next wedding shower.
Word Scramble
One of the fun wedding shower games that can be played is the word scramble. Give each guest a piece of paper and something to write with. It is a good idea for them to have a hard surface they can use too. At the top of their paper have them write the first name of the bride and groom and the groom’s last name. Then give them 5 minutes to come up with as many words as they can using those letters.
Depending on the names used, the list can become very long. You can add some other rules if you like. For example, you can say no proper names, all words must be at least 4 letters, etc. The person that can create the longest list is the winner. You could add some word related to the Wedding Shower Ideas theme selected.
Toilet Paper Wedding Dresses
The dress is the key point that many people notice with any wedding. It can be incorporated into the wedding shower games. Divide your guests into groups of 4 or 5. They will need to appoint one person to be the mannequin for the wedding dress. Then give each group several roles of toilet paper and a roll of tape. Give them 10 or 15 minutes to create a wedding dress made out of toilet paper. The bride to be can be the judge.
Wedding BINGO
The game of BINGO is something most people have played. This can be one of the best wedding shower games offered. You can print out cards that have words relating to weddings on them. Make sure you have items that guests can use to mark their cards with. Pennies work well so that the cards can be used for several rounds of BINGO.
All of the possible words that will be on the cards should be cut out and folded up. Then you can randomly draw them out of a hat or a jar to be able to call out what the guests need to mark on their Wedding BINGO card. If you want to make this game more personalized, you can even consider creating your own cards. Then you can add words that relate to the bride and groom.
20 Questions
Give each guest a piece of blank paper and something to write with. Ask them to number from 1 to 20 on the list. Playing 20 questions is the most revealing of all bridal shower games. Ask questions about the bride, the groom, and them as a couple. For example, where they met, how long they have been dating, etc. The person that gets the most right is the winner.
Have fun planning and play wedding shower games.
